14 DAY TRIAL // Despite leaving The Priory clinic in London reportedly feeling better than ever, the stress of touring has again taken a toll on “Angel” Susan Boyle, who had to be pulled out of yet another performance after throwing a fit. This time, though, it was not because media representatives were harassing her, onlookers say, as cited by the Daily Mirror, but because she wanted her cat Pebbles, the only living being with whom she shares her life back home.
Although her publicist has denied that Susan Boyle had yet another mini-breakdown caused by the immense pressure she must be feeling from all places, the British publication insists it was because of Pebbles, after speaking with people who claim to have seen the singer lose it completely. As per their account, it took staff at the hotel Boyle was staying nearly three quarters of an hour to calm her down – and make her leave the balcony she was on causing the scene.
“She kept shouting, ‘I want my cat! I need my cat!’ I think people felt sorry for her as she was clearly unhappy. She was acting weird, scratching her belly with her top pulled up.” an unnamed eyewitness says for the aforementioned publication. It is believed this recent meltdown was prompted, just like those before it, by the stress of performing on the Britain’s Got Talent tour and by the fact that Susan takes the stage in fear that she might disappoint the millions of fans around the world who have been extremely supportive of her so far.
The moment word of the incident got out in the media, Susan Boyle’s publicist denied the reports but, at the same time, confirmed that she had been again advised to rest and cease all public appearances for the time being. The singer is now at an undisclosed location, trying to rest in order to avoid further cancelations – as a side note, reports in the British media have it that, so far, she has missed approximately half of the scheduled shows of the BGT tour. Fans continue to be supportive and have not asked for refunds from organizers, despite not getting the chance to see and hear the one person they came for.
“She would love to be able to perform every single evening but she is aware of what she can and can’t do. I feel sorry for her because she doesn’t want to let people down but also she needs to have a rest.” a statement from Susan Boyle’s publicist reads.
