In our celebrity-centered culture, it's not just singers, actors, film directors and other showbiz people that are considered celebrities: the term also applies to their kids. Suri Cruise, for instance, has just been named the most influential celebrity kid of the year.
As 2011 is drawing to a close, we're being bombarded from all sides with year-end charts.
The Daily Beast wanted to think outside the box and, for a change, came up with a chart that measures how famous some celebrity kids are.
It turns out some are just as famous as their parents. Not only do they set trends and boost sales, but their every move is photographed, videoed and then posted online where, believe it or not, they get just as many hits as their older “counterparts.”
In other words, 2011 was the year of celebrity kids and, according to the ratings analyzed by TDB, the year of
Suri Cruise.
A fashionista at 3 and the most stylish celebrity kid one year later, Suri is moving up in the ranks of the stars: she's constantly papped on outings with her mom Katie Holmes or her more famous father Tom Cruise, she gets her own columns on celebrity blogs and the clothes she wears can lead to a spike in sales you would hardly imagine.
Moreover, she's also getting a lot of love for her fashion, with mom Katie always telling the press that she is actually part-time stylist. Just recently, we also heard that Suri wanted to
write a children's book.
Suri is just 5 years old – so imagine just how popular and famous she'll be by the time she's the age of Madonna's Lourdes (Lola).
At number two on the list is a celebrity kid who is even younger than Suri. In fact, she was
born in July 2011:
Harper Seven Beckham, the daughter of Victoria and David Beckham.
She's the only girl in the family (the Beckhams have three more sons) and she's already out there making fashion headlines because her mother insists on always having her dressed up in designer couture – that matches hers no less.
Rounding up the top 3 is
Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, the first daughter by birth of power couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
With her mother's lips and her father's blue eyes, Shiloh is just as cute as she's bold. She's also more of a tomboy, which makes her even cuter, if such a thing was possible.
Also on the list are Jessica Alba's two daughters, Jennifer Lopez's twins with Marc Anthony, Max and Emme, Angelina Jolie's two girls Zahara and Vivienne, Kourtney Kardashian's son Mason Disick, and Halle Berry's adorable Nahla.
