Susan Boyle, the biggest underdog sensation ever to be revealed via a talent competition – Britain’s Got Talent, in this case – is having a very hard time coping with the massive pressure coming with instant fame. The Scottish spinster, who is anything but celebrity material, is so stressed out and disheartened by everything that’s been happening to her in recent days that she has even threatened to leave the show a couple of times, Piers Morgan says as cited by The Sun.

According to the Britain’s Got Talent judge, who has spoken before about the need for the public to back off Susan, the overnight celebrity has reached a low in terms of her spirits right before the grand finale, when a winner will be named. Susan Boyle is often in tears and has not once packed her bags saying she was heading back home, to leave the stress and the pressure behind her, Morgan reveals.

“Yesterday she was actually going to leave the show, packed her bags to go because she couldn’t see the point in going on. Susan is finding it very difficult to cope, and to stay calm. She has been in tears many times during the last few days, and even felt like quitting altogether and fleeing all the attention.” Piers Morgan says. At the same time, the talent competition judge underlines that the increased attention of the public is only making matters worse, as also is the severe criticism unleashed upon her once word of two separate public outbursts she had the other day got out in the media.

On the same bleak note, The Sun claims ITV bosses are already considering pulling Boyle off the show, despite the odds of winning still being high in her favor. According to sources from the network, the last thing producers would need on the big night of the finale would be another outburst or a tragic breakdown from the stressed “Hairy Angel.” In order to prevent this, she has already been moved to a “hideaway” to help her calm down before the big performance on Saturday.

“Show bosses told us to get Susan’s mind right because there are genuine concerns about her health. She desperately needs breathing space. The idea is to get into a place where her privacy is better managed than at a hotel. She’ll be totally shielded from people other than her closest advisors.” an unnamed source tells the British publication.
