Blizzard Entertainment has rolled out the first patch for StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty, bringing the game to version 1.1.0 with tons of new additions and improvements, including Support for NVIDIA 3D Vision, a new Quick Save option, a new game clock, an enhanced map editor, and a special tweak for Mac users-only regarding the location of data files on a user’s hard drive.

“StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty patch 1.1.0 is now live!”, Blizzard Entertainment has announced.

“This patch features adjustments to protoss, terran, and zerg balance, notable StarCraft II Editor improvements, and several bug fixes,” the developer notes on the Battle.net forums.

“Be sure to check out the full patch notes below to learn all about the latest changes,” Blizz adds.

General changes span tweaks for the standard (US) and Standard for Lefties (US) hotkey configurations, the addition of a new game clock, (players can now instantly see how long they’ve been in their current mission or match), a new Quick Save option, and a new System Panel, which allows players to view their local time and FPS while in game, as well as their Wi-Fi signal strength and battery levels.

As noted above, there’s a Mac specific change that Blizzard lists in the changelog.

“Moved StarCraft II data files and settings from the Documents folder into the Application Support folder,” the game development studio notes.

Additionally, the company has added support for NVIDIA 3D Vision.

“To experience StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty in 3D on your desktop or notebook, you will need 3D Vision,” Blizzard outlines. It offers up this link for more information.

Balance changes span all three warrior classes, as well as maps.

Desert Oasis adds destructible Rocks to make natural expansions easier to protect, while the Center Xel'Naga Tower area has been narrowed, Blizzard claims.
