Mobile phone carrier Sprint has already launched a number of handsets with green features, and now it wants to bring them back to the display. Five such devices might be of interest to users, Sprint notes, adding that customers can pair them with a Sprint Everything Data plan starting at $69.99 that offers unlimited text, Web and calling to any wireless phone in the US.

Among the handsets that Sprint lists in its green line of devices, we can count the SCP-2700 by Sanyo, a handset that sports a QWERTY keyboard and great messaging features, available for free after $29.99 instant savings and $50 mail-in rebate with a contract. The LG Rumor2 is also included in the list, free after $20 instant savings and $79.99 Web special on the carrier's website. Another handset is the M330 by Samsung, free after $19.99 instant savings and $50 mail-in rebate.

The Samsung Reclaim is another green device from Sprint, made out of bio-plastic materials extracted from corn, which can be purchased for free after $50 instant savings and $50 Web Special on the carrier's website. And there is also the MiFi 2200 by Novatel Wireless, the mobile hotspot solution that can be grabbed for free after $99.99 instant savings and $50 mail-in rebate. All devices require a two-year contract agreement, and the carrier notes that the offers for Reclaim and Rumor2 will last until March 20, while the others will be available until April 17.

“Commit to go green this St. Patrick's Day and recycle your old wireless devices with Sprint. As an industry leader in the reuse and recycling of wireless devices, Sprint has an aggressive, industry-first goal of reaching a 90 percent phone collection rate for reuse/recycling compared with annual wireless device sales by 2017. Sprint's recently expanded Buyback program gives a financial incentive for current and new Sprint subscribers to trade in any eligible cell phone, regardless of manufacturer or carrier,” Sprint notes in a press release.

The affordable Everything Data 450 plan with Any Mobile, Anytime is available for only $69.99 per month and provides users with “unlimited calling to or from any U.S. wireless user, unlimited text and picture messaging, unlimited Web, e-mail and social networking, and unlimited GPS navigation,” the carrier states. Moreover, Sprint's users will also be able to enjoy a great deal of applications available for their devices, including those from the Android Market, Palm App Catalog and BlackBerry App World, or those in the GetJar catalog.
