Sprint Puts Motorola i890 on Sale

Wireless carrier Sprint announced today the launch of a new mobile phone with Push-To-Talk capabilities, the Motorola i890. According to the company, those who will opt for this device won't benefit only from best-in-class push-to-talk services of Nextel Direct Connect, but also from the advanced multimedia features that this sleek, stylish looking device includes.

The new Motorola i890 is available for purchase with Nextel Direct Connect calling plans and sports a price tag of $129.99 upon the signing of a two-year contract agreement with the carrier and after $50 mail-in rebate (excluding taxes). Moreover, the wireless operator also notes that users will find the device available via all channels, including Sprint retail stores, Business Direct Sales, Telesales and Web sales.

The specifications list of the handset also includes:
- Dimensions: 3.9 inches x 1.98 inches by 0.66 inches (99 mm x 50.3 mm x 16.8 mm)
- Weight: 4.2 ounces (119 grams)
- Internal Display: 2.2-inch QVGA (55.9 mm), 240 x 320, 65K, 16-bit TFT
- External Display: 1.8-inch (45.7 mm), 128 x 160, 65K, 16-bit TFT
- Battery Specifications – Standard:1130 mAh lithium ion
- Talk Time – Standard Battery: up to 205 minutes
- Supports up to 8 GB MicroSD card (not included)

The new mobile phone comes to the market as the ideal tool for those in need of a great business device, the wireless carrier notes. Moreover, the Motorola i890 also comes with multimedia-rich features, as well as with instant communication capabilities packed inside a slim form factor. The specs of this handset include a 2.0-megapixel camera, stereo Bluetooth 2.1 + A2DP, built-in MP3 player, a Quick Release button for one handed operations, external media keys, and the capability to switch from an active push-to-talk call to an interconnect voice call.
