HTC One X has been postponed as well due to a US Customs review of shipments

It looks like Apple has managed to enforce a blockade over some HTC products that were about to make their entrance on the US smartphone market.

So far, at least two HTC handsets, the One X and EVO 4G LTE have been delayed due to an exclusion order issued by ITC against these smartphones.

Basically, HTC won’t be able to bring its smartphones in the country until the problem is settled with the US Customs.

The problem appeared yesterday, one of HTC's other problems, which was about to launch its EVO 4G LTE handset at Sprint on May 18.

Unfortunately, the issue will mainly affect customers who already pre-ordered the HTC EVO 4G LTE from the carrier.

Today, Sprint issued a statement explaining the issue and informing its customers that they will not be able to cancel their pre-orders until they receive their HTC EVO 4G LTE units.

HTC notified Sprint that HTC EVO 4G LTE would be delayed and that it’s working hard to solve the issue and bring the smartphone on the US market as fast as possible:

The US availability of HTC One X and HTC EVO 4G LTE has been delayed due to a standard U.S. Customs review of shipments that is required after an ITC exclusion order. We believe we are in compliance with the ruling and HTC is working closely with Customs to secure approval. HTC One X and HTC EVO 4G LTE have both received enthusiastic support and we appreciate customers patience as we work to get these products into their hands as soon as possible.

Furthermore, Sprint confirmed it has acknowledged HTC EVO 4G LTE delay, but it cannot provide a specific timing for its availability. The carrier will offer a ship date as soon as possible.

As we already mentioned, customers who wish to cancel their EVO 4G LTE pre-orders will have to refuse delivery or call Sprint for return authorization kit. However, this will only be possible after the smartphone arrives.
