The new release packs various improvements, bug fixes

A new flavor of the Soundtracker Radio application is now available for download on S40 and S60 5th Edition Nokia mobile phones.

To be more precise, two different iterations of the application are available for Nokia users, namely version 1.7.3 for all S60 5th edition devices and for smartphones running under the Symbian S^3, Symbian Anna and Symbian Belle OS flavors, and version 2.1.1 for Series 40 handsets.

According to the guys over at Nokia Beta Lab, the new application releases bring along a series of fixes for the various issues that the application was signaled to arrive on shelves with, as well as with a series of other improvements included into the mix.

Moreover, the new application release brings a single version of Soundtracker for all devices running under S^3, Symbian Anna and Symbian Belle, and one iteration for S60 devices covering both Java Runtime 1.4 and 2.1.

Series40 (2.1.1) - Performance improvements and bug fixes

For the time being, Soundtracker Radio is available only in beta, but the wide range of improvements and enhancements that it tasted during the past several months pave the way for a gold release.

In the meantime, those users who would like to download and install the application should consider removing the previous app installation from their devices before kicking the process off.

At the same time, they are encouraged to provide feedback on the issues they find within the application, so that more fixes and improvements can be added into the mix.
