Beast brings vampires from Romania

If you loved the television series in which the beautiful Sarah Michelle Gellar scared the hell out of vampires, you'll probably be very excited to hear that the fight will restart soon, this time on your Nintendo DS. The Twentieth Century Fox officially licensed product will be developed by 505 Games' Romanian studio Beast and will hit the European markets by the end of November this year.

Hearing that the game is under development in Romania, we can't help wondering whether the company is located in Transylvania - if so, you can understand how cool the coincidence is. And, further more, it would mean that the game should be a flawless one since it comes from the land of vampires, right?

Anyway, until we get to see how good this movie-based game is, we should know that its full name is Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Sacrifice and it combines third person action with first person gameplay elements. You will, of course, play Buffy and you will be tasked with the quest of sealing the re-opened Hellmouth (and if it already sounds deliciously good, you should know that TV series writer, Rob Deshotel, penned the game's story).

"This is a fantastic opportunity for 505 Games and we're working extremely closely with Fox to ensure this is the definitive Buffy the Vampire Slayer experience," said Rowan Tafler, Global Brand Manager, 505 Games. "Buffy's return to videogames is great for long-time fans of the franchise and we hope the huge market reach of the Nintendo DS will help to create new fans too."

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Sacrifice will be a very nice looking 3D survival horror game which will bring us more than 20 unique slayer weapons, 12 scary bosses and no less than 12 dynamic environments. Of course, you will meet lots of characters from the show along your way, so get ready for a hot vampire slaying fall in the company of Buffy, Spike, Angel, the Master and many more!
