The budget-friendly Sony Xperia tipo is about to make its debut in the UK. We have already reported that pre-registrations are now available for the smartphone, but it looks like a few UK-based carriers will also offer the device.
The folks over at
UnwiredView report that
Xperia tipo is now on “Coming Soon” at O2 and Orange UK. Other operators might pick this one as well, but so far, only these two have made it official. It is also worth mentioning that the smartphone will be available on both PAYG (pay as you go) and pay monthly.
Sony Xperia tipo will be shipped with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich platform out of the box. The phone will be equipped with an 800 MHz single-core processor, 512MB of RAM, 2.9GB of internal memory and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).
No word on the phone’s availability and pricing options yet, so stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
