Users may have already read about the appearance of the Table S during the IFA 2011 trade show, but it looks like Sony wants to have it out as soon as possible, what with pre-orders already starting.

Sony had an entire pavilion full of products in full view at this year's edition of the IFA international trade show.

The sheer number of hands-on articles we published on its various inventions, accounting for much of our full IFA 2011 section, shows this.

One of the things showcased is a slate whose name is Sony Tablet S (it was exhibited along with the Tablet P).

Apparently, the Tablet S is now available for pre-order in Europe, or at least in the United Kingdom.

More specifically, it would be accurate to say that three distinct versions of the product can be selected, differentiated through their storage capacities and whether or not 3G connectivity is available.

The cheapest model, available for order for the sum of 399.99 GBP, is the one with 16 GB of built-in NAND Flash storage space. This electronic also possesses WiFi wireless connectivity.

Using a capacity of 32 GB raises that price to 499.99, a sum which is, interestingly enough, the same as the one that prospective buyers will have to pay for the 3G-enabled slate (which has only 16GB of storage).

The other features are the same on all three (Android 3.1, 1 GHz Tegra 2 SoC, 9.4-inch touchscreen of 1,280 x 800 pixels resolution, various connectivity and I/O besides WiFi/3G, etc.).

Users can read the aforementioned hands-on experience we reported, after which they can decide on their own just how big a shot it has against the Apple iPad and the other Android-loaded models on sale.

Other things Sony revealed during the exhibition are a WiFi e-reader, digital cameras and a Blu-ray player, to name a few.
