The holiday season is rapidly approaching and companies are struggling to make the most interesting offers so that customers will buy their products. Such is the case in the gaming console market, where every manufacturer is offering different sorts of promotions so that users will be attracted to their consoles.

Microsoft is really pulling out all the stops this Christmas season as it has already employed several price cuts and made its Xbox 360 console much cheaper than the direct rival, Sony’s PlayStation 3. The American company has also released quite a lot of bundles, which are special editions of its console, together with a wide variety of games available for it.

Sony on the other hand, said, on several occasions, through the voice of certain company executives, that it would not employ any price cuts, and that it was confident that the consumers would make the educated choice in regard to the best console on the market. It has however launched a few bundles for this holiday season, with the most recent one being this, apparently, European only edition.

The new pack, spotted on the website of a Norwegian store, seems to include a special edition 160 GB PlayStation 3 with four vouchers guaranteeing access to some very interesting PlayStation Network titles – Gran Turismo 5: Prologue, Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty, Last Guy and Super Stardust HD. This is definitely a lineup that might get a lot of customers interested, especially considering it is priced at 4500 Krone, which is about 675 US dollars.

It will surely be a busy holiday season for customers who want to buy a game console, but luckily for them, all of the three big manufacturers, Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo, are striving to get their attention, which translates into some very advantageous offers. All that’s left for gamers to do is choose which console to buy.
