Mobile phone maker Sony Ericsson has been long rumored to plan the release of a PlayStation Phone, and some more info on it have just emerged, along with a video that supposedly shows it into the wild.

Provided that the PlayStation Phone will indeed prove real, we might learn that the previously rumored Zeus name was indeed attached to it, especially since the device is called Sony Ericsson Z1, as one can see in the video available below.

As one can easily imagine, nothing was announced officially on this device for the time being, though there are plenty rumors available on its specifications.

Sony Ericsson's big crossover device, the PlayStation Phone, should bring to the market great gaming capabilities on an Android smartphone.

The fact that it would arrive with Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system on board is another appealing feature for this handset (the device is already showing this OS version into the wild).

As stated above, the phone is called Sony Ericsson Z1, and the guys over at Techblog.gr (via Engadget) say they are pretty convinced that it would sport this name and that Gingerbread would indeed be present on it.

The 4-inch touchscreen display on this device should offer great responsiveness, and the video embedded below comes as a confirmation of this.

When launched, the handset might sport a great resemblance with the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, the first Android-based smartphone from the company.

While no official word on it was brought to the Internet for the time being, some suggest that the unveiling might take place sometime on December 9th, when the company plans to hold “the most awaited event of the past 10 years.”

Hopefully, the announcement will be roughly a week from now, and the handset itself will manage to impress a lot, just as the mobile phone that can be seen in the video below does. Don't forget to check with us again for updates on this.
