Sony Ericsson Z750i is now available in Canada, being offered by Fido, the well-known subsidiary of Rogers Wireless. The Z750 comes to replace the Z730 model, which is now over one year old and is offered for only 10 Canadian bucks (with a 3-year contract agreement, that is).

Sony Ericsson Z750i is a pretty little clamshell that supports quad-band GSM (850 / 900 /1 800 /1 900 MHz) and dual-band 3G/HSDPA connectivity (850 / 1900 MHz), and it's among the few Fido devices to come with such a rich connectivity offer. Furthermore, the handset features a 2.2 inch TFT main display with 240 x 320 pixels and 256K colors and an external hidden display with 36 x 128 pixels, Music and Video players, access to MobiTV and Rogers Music Store, FM radio with RDS, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, a 2 Megapixel camera with video recording, secondary video-call camera, NetFront browser, mobile email, RSS reader, USB 2.0, 32MB of expandable memory and other useful stuff.

Weighing 110 grams and measuring 97.4 x 49 x 20 millimeter (when closed), Sony Ericsson Z750i packs a 930 mAh battery that should last for up to 3.5 hours in talk-time mode and up to one week in stand-by mode.

Fido's subscribers have various options to choose from, in case they want to buy the Z750i (it can be ordered online, at this address, by the way). For example, when bought free of any contract, the clamshell costs 400 Canadian dollars (about 405 USD), but when bought with a Fido data plan for 3 years, the new Sony Ericsson costs only 100 dollars.

Regardless of the way you buy the Z750i, Fido also offers, in the same package and for the same amount of money, a stereo headset, a 128MB memory Stick Micro card and a USB data cable.
