W890, proudly representing Sony Ericsson's Walkman series of music-dedicated mobile phones, was only released on few markets until now, and many users from around the world are still waiting for it (including the North American mobile enthusiasts).

Sony Ericsson W890 is presented as one of the hottest music handsets to come in 2008 and it will probably be one of the Swedish-Japanese company's greatest commercial successes for this year. We recently spotted several new live images with the phone, which can only make those who desperately want it to desire it even more.

Following the W880 model, released about a year ago, the new W890 comes with an even better design and more advanced features. The candybar measures only 104 x 46.5 x 9.9 millimeters, has a weight of 78 grams and comes with quad-band GSM connectivity as well as HSDPA for fast data transfer speeds.

Among the highlights of W890 we can mention the 2 GB memory card included, a 2 inch TFT, display with 256K colors and 240 x 320 pixels, Walkman Player 3.0, SensMe, TrackID, FM Radio with RDS, MegaBass, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, email, Instant Messaging, NetFront 3.4 browser, RSS reader and a battery capable of providing more than 9 hours of talk-time and up to 360 hours of stand-by time. A pretty cool 3.15 Megapixel camera with video recording is also included, enabling you to make pictures whenever you want. Unfortunately, the camera doesn't come with auto focus, nor with flash, but after all we talk about a Walkman phone and not a Cyber-shot one.

Sony Ericsson W890 should pretty soon be available all around the world (as W890i in the US and W890c in China), for retail prices of somewhere around $400 (260 Euro), depending on the country it will be bought from. Until then, enjoy the photos.
