Two of the upcoming SE phones

Shortly after the June unveiling of C905 (which came together with other 4 new phones), Sony Ericsson is getting ready for another batch of fresh handsets, this time oriented towards music. Two of the yet-to-come new phones are Sony Ericsson W302 (codenamed Sony Ericsson Feng) and Sony Ericsson Remi, [admark=1]both of which should be announced by the Swedish-Japanese company on July 22.

Sony Ericsson W302 is, as its name shows it, a Walkman phone that comes in a candybar form factor and only brings mid to low-end features. Like another unannounced yet handset (the W902, said to be the Walkman version of C902), the W302 looks like the Walkman version of the photo-centered S302. The new SE W302 runs on the A200 platform and features a 176 x 220 pixel display and a 2 Megapixel camera with fixed focus and video recording. The phone looks very nice, but it's not too different from other Walkman handsets.

Sony Ericsson Remi was first seen about two weeks ago and now even more live images with it have appeared. The handset is also a candybar, like the W302, but its features are more advanced, including a 3.2 Megapixel camera with flash and video recording, HSDPA connectivity and a QVGA display. Remi is said to be the actualized version of the popular Sony Ericsson T610, released 5 years ago.

Besides W302 and Remi, Sony Ericsson should also announce, on July 22, the above-mentioned W902 (which has a 5 Megapixel camera) and the mid-end W595 slider. Thus, it seems that there will be at least four new Sony Ericsson handsets prepared by the Swedish-Japanese manufacturer.

There are no details, for the moment, about the commercial availability of Sony Ericsson's upcoming handsets, but they will probably be released sometime this autumn.
