Japanese-Swedish mobile phone maker Sony Ericsson announced officially at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona the launch of two new handsets, the Xperia X10 mini and X10 mini pro, both of which are pushed to the market as the compact versions of its high-end Xperia X10, powered by Google's Android operating system. According to the company, the two devices are meant to deliver all the high-end features of X10 and the company's powerful UX platform on smaller devices.

The Xperia X10 mini pro will hit the market with slide out QWERTY keyboards, so as to enhance the communication experience delivered to users, while also including the Sony Ericsson Timescape application that debuted on Xperia X10, and which is available with Xperia X10 mini too. Through this solution, users will be able to put all of their communications into a single place, including text messages, missed calls, and Facebook and Twitter updates.
