No clear image with it though

Shortly after the W595 slider, another new and unannounced yet Sony Ericsson has appeared on the Web. This time it's a candybar codenamed Sony Ericsson Patti and, unfortunately, there's only one image with it which doesn't present it in its entirety, but only its lower part. Thus, for the moment we can't possibly say if the handset looks nice or not.

What we can tell you, though, is that the rumored features of Patti are really great. Although the phone is said to be from the Walkman series, it should pack a 5 Megapixel camera with auto focus and flash. This would make Patti the first Walkman handset to come with such an evolved camera.

Furthermore, Patti will run on a new A300 platform developed by Sony Ericsson and its display might be a 2.4 inch touchscreen one. Other features apparently included in the new candybar are Wi-Fi, HSDPA connectivity, Bluetooth 2.1 and an internal memory of at least several GBs.

Sony Ericsson Patti is said to be slim, but the available picture doesn't actually confirm this. But, of course, we can't be sure of anything until new and clear images with the handset appear.

Patti is the third rumored Walkman handset that should come this year from Sony Ericsson, besides the above-mentioned W595 and an unnamed 16GB touchscreen phone that should be the successor of W960. If all three devices turn out to be great in terms of functionality and they are released soon, then Sony Ericsson might have a nice second half of 2008 when it comes to sales.

According to the guys over at the Esato forums, where the image with Patti appeared, Sony Ericsson will announce the handset in the next few weeks. I guess we'll see then if the candybar is as cool as it seems to be.
