Sony Ericsson K850i brought its evolved camera performances to India. The mobile phone was unveiled during a ceremony that also included two International WTA players, Mario Kirilenko and Marto Domachowska.

This Cyber-shot mobile phone is among the few ones capable of packing a 5 megapixel camera. This should enable it to take captures at a fairly high quality, the best that handsets can provide. It's even more than the capture quality that Sony Ericsson K850i is capable of providing, as the handset proves to be great in many other areas.

Even more, the capture quality that Sony Ericsson K850i is capable of providing was called into question some time ago, when the producer posted some shots that were said to have been taken with this phone. Still, the EXIF files showed otherwise and stated that the photos had been captured with a Sanyo digital camera. Sony Ericsson made no comment on this accident and preferred to let it drift away and everybody forget about it.

The fake images bring no credit to the K850i mobile phone, but this does not necessarily mean that the phone is not capable of taking high quality captures by itself. The high resolution camera also comes with a 16x digital zoom and some applications, such as BestPic and Photofix for editing the images right from the handset or just for making it easier to take the right capture.

Sony Ericsson K850i comes with a 40 MB of internal memory, which can be expanded through a Memory Stick Micro (M2) and SanDisk micro SD/Transflash. The phone also includes 3G HSDPA technology, Bluetooth and USB connectivity. It is capable of supporting WAP 2.0 XHTML web pages and email too, by some of the most evolved standards.

Sony Ericsson K850i will be available from now on two colors- Luminous Green and Velvet Blue. The producer has not mentioned the retail price that this phone will come at in India.
