A new Sony Ericsson mobile phone has been spotted at FCC and is heading towards a US release in the near future. The device is a low end Cyber-shot model, the K205a that has little features capable of impressing anyone.

The phone follows the K200 that was released
a long time ago and has high chances of bringing only slightly improved performances when compared to the previous model. This has high chances of being a low end Cyber-shot that will have the sole credit of managing to take captures of a better quality than most handsets from its range.

The phone is fully made of plastic, the least expensive solution that the producer found for it. The display screen is small and the buttons simple and classic. In fact, there is almost no innovation in the case of this device and that should reflect itself in the price that it will come at. The design makes it look even cheaper than the K200 model, although this comes as an improvement of the older phone model.

The previous device came equipped only with a VGA camera, although it was still a Cyber-shot. There are high chances that the new K205a will bring only slight improvements when it comes to this type of performances. Other than that, the device scored only basic capabilities at all chapters.

Sony Ericsson's choice for bringing a low end handset to its existing line of devices comes as part of a tendency coming from this producer to strengthen its offer on low end mobile phones. This more affordable type of devices has greatly contributed in Nokia's expansion until now, which makes it an efficient strategy for increasing sales and profit rates.

The new Sony Ericsson K205a has high chances of hitting the US market before the end of this year, now that it has just received its FCC approval.
