Both handsets are available today, unlocked via Sony Store

Today, mobile phone maker Sony Ericsson announced the availability of its Xperia arc S and Xperia neo V smartphones on the market in the United States.

The two devices, unveiled to the world earlier this year, arrive on shelves with the Android 2.3.4 operating system on board, and deliver great entertainment capabilities, courtesy of the latest Sony technology.

Both new devices arrive on shelves with the 3D sweep panorama technology from Sony, through which users can take amazing shots of the places they visit, while being capable of viewing them on the larger screens of 3D TVs using the HDMI output.

Xperia arc S comes to the market with a fast 1.4GHz application processor inside, and features a 4.2-inch Reality display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine, as well as an 8.1 megapixel camera with Exmor R for mobile image sensor on the back.

Moreover, the new device sports 3D and 2D sweep panorama photography capabilities, along with great connectivity capabilities.

The handset is made available in Pure White, Gloss Black, Midnight Blue, and Misty Silver with a price tag of $549.99 attached to it, unlocked.

As for the Xperia neo V, it arrives on shelves with a 3.7” capacitive, multi-touch screen, as well as with a 5 megapixel camera with 16x digital zoom, front camera for video calling, and microSD memory card slot for expanding the available storage space.

The handset is made available in Pearl White, Silver, and Blue Gradient, and features a price tag of $349.99 unlocked.

Xperia arc S and Xperia neo V also sport Android 2.3.4, with features like:
