Lately, Sony Ericsson's main goal has been to produce walkman phones that fit the needs of the most pretentious users regarding music quality and user-friendly features.

The W710i is one of those phones, and is especially designed for users with an active, sporty lifestyle. Apart from high-quality of sound, it's also designed to become the perfect sporting partner for people that are always on the move and are looking for a phone that can adapt to their needs.

W710i has some special features to offer such as a motion sensor and a fitness application that measures running speed, distance and time. There is also a daily step counter, which resets automatically at midnight, that helps you keep track of how much you've been walking lately.

As the carrying and use of most phones is generally a problem when running or working out, Sony Ericsson's Z710i is optimized for use on the move from every point of view. Both the fitness application and the MP3 player can be controlled by using the quick access keys next to the external display which means that there's no need for flipping the phone open and searching through the whole menu to access them.

Z710i also features a 2 megapixel camera, so if you run across something interesting while out for a jog, you can easily take a snapshot of it. A 512MB Memory Stick Micro is included, but if you find that 512 MB is not enough space for storing all the Mp3 tracks you enjoy listening to, there is always the possibility of expanding to 1GB.

Z710i also comes with a comfortable to wear armband, that you can just attach to the phone and snap around your arm, being sure that the mobile stays where it's supposed to, and a stereo headset instead of the standard earphones that would probably keep falling out when you're on the move. Sony Ericsson Z710i has officially been released and is now available in the Middle East.
