Video game publisher Sony Computer Entertainment has announced that in both North America and in Europe it is introducing a new program called PlayStation Play, which will allow gamers to buy four upcoming titles to get access to a number of rewards.

The titles included in PlayStation Play are:

- Street Fighter III Third Strike Online Edition – launches on August 23 and will allow to get access to Gil, one of the boss characters, without having to beat the game with all the characters; - The Baconing – arrives on August 30 and allows access to the characters Roesha – One Bad Mutha for cooperative play; - BloodRayne: Betrayal – set for a September 6 launch day it will allow the player to get a dynamic system theme and items for the Home Avatar linked to the game; - Renegade Ops – launches on September 13 and comes with two new vehicles and more special weapons via the Vehicle & Character Pack.

The regular price for all the video games in the PlayStation Play program is set at 14.99 dollars and those who are subscribing to PlayStation Plus will be able to get a 20 percent cut on the four titles.

Those who pick up all the games before September 19 will also be able to get a download code for Payday: The Heist, which will be sold for 19.99 dollars.

Sony is also offering a free downloadable theme for the PlayStation 3 if they are willing to pre-order all the games before August 9.

All the games included in the PlayStation Plus program can also be bought on the Xbox 360 home console from Microsoft.

Sony is probably aiming to launch a PlayStation based initiative that will have the same level of success as the Summer of Arcade promotion that Microsoft has been creating for four years.
