Nippon electronics maker Sony has recently launched the world's first full frame interchangeable lens camera, which has already received a lot of attention from the media thanks to its outstanding optical performance comparable with some of the best DSLR cameras on the market (Nikon D800, D800E).

Along with the A7, A7R models, the company also revealed the 28-70mm f/3.5-5.6 FE lens, which was available for pre-order in Asia and Europe right after the cameras reached market shelves.

Today, US customers can finally order the new Sony lens from Amazon at a price of $498 / €365, significantly lower than European prices.

The lens is also available with a few extra accessories via Cameta Camera. For a slightly higher price ($519.95 / €381), besides the lens, you also get a spare NP-FW50 battery, 55mm 3pc (UV/FLC/CPL) filter, 50'' compact travel tripod, LCD screen protectors and 6pc complete cleaning kit.

If you don't want to spend a lot of money on the pricier Zeiss 24-70mm FE lens, the 28-70mm could be a convenient choice for customers on a budget.
