It looks like the Sidekick LX, also known as Danger Shuriken, has been spotted on FCC's website. The product has received approval for being sold on the US grounds, which gives hopes for a future release.

Sidekick 2 had the name of PV100, while Sidekick 3 was called PV150. FCC has approved the PV250 model, which makes it clear that we are talking about a new model in the Sidekick phone line. Moreover, this approval was dated more than three months ago. Given these facts, there is a high chance that the time for a new release approaches.

The improvements in this new model bring a bigger and better screen than those found in previous models. There is also a slight upgrade in the battery life, as the Sidekick LX model comes with a Li-Ion 3.7Vdc 1540mAh one. Moreover, it looks like the device will also manage to bring GSM/EDGE performance, although no 3G.

Some other specifications for the Sidekick LX also reveal the fact that it will work on Danger OS v4.4. Moreover, the smartphone's better, improved screen will support a resolution of up to 400 x 208 pixels. That is excellent news for the many fans of this type of mobile phones. A real craze has developed over the last few years due to these media rich and fresh looking handsets.

For those who are wondering on the release date for this Sidekick LX, there is room only for guesses. The initial short term confidentiality was supposed to end on the 16th of September, this year. Still, Sharp has asked for some additional 45 days, until the end of October. One thing is for sure. Before this term, there is no chance to see the Sidekick LX released. Once this ends, however, there are chances to receive it any time within the next few months.
