For a limited period of time, the Shazam Encore application is available for free for RIM's BlackBerry devices.

The application was put on download in the BlackBerry App World here, where it features the usual price of $5.99 USD.

“Thank you for choosing and supporting BlackBerry. In appreciation, Shazam Encore is free of charge for a limited time (a $5.99 USD value), compliments of BlackBerry,” the app's description reads.

The application will offer users the possibility to easily identify and find songs from their devices, while also enabling them to buy music they like. One can perform searches by artist, track and lyrics or can have a look at Shazam’s Tag Chart to see what songs are hot.

At the same time, the mobile application will deliver track and album reviews to users, along with the ability to watch YouTube videos, or to share Tags by text, email, Twitter or Facebook. Not to mention that users can discover new music using Recommendations.
