Sharp, the Japanese company specialized in electronics, has enhanced its AQUOS line-up of devices by adding a new astonishing slider – the 931SH. Unfortunately, the phone will be available only in Japan for the moment, through Softbank carrier.

Still, the slider form factor handset measures 115x52x16mm, weighs about 130 grams (including battery) and features one of the biggest fulltouch displays on the market, a 3.8 inch screen capable of supporting 1024 x 480 pixel resolution. The slider also boasts a 5.2 Megapixel camera (1944x2592 pixels resolution) with image stabilization function and flash capabilities. The 100 MB internal memory can be expanded as the handset supports microSDHC memory cards up to 8GB.

Further 'goodies' of the slider include: accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP capabilities, web browser, media player, motion sensor, built-in GPS receiver and 1-Seg TV tuner for watching TV on mobile. AQUOS 931SH Sharp will be available in four different colors: Black, Gold, Red, and Silver. The recently introduced slider should be out on the market no earlier than December 2008, just in time for Christmas.

The piece-of-the-art handset is also compatible with all UMTS networks, so there's still a slight possibility that it will also be available in other areas later on. If you don't forget it, this might be the best choice for those that are looking for an exquisite multimedia device. The main attraction of the phone, the huge display ensures the user an amazing experience when browsing the Internet or watching movies and TV shows.

Let's hope the 931SH slider will be 'smuggled' in the US and Europe soon after the Japanese official launch. There's no information about pricing, but the fact that it's sold under the Softbank brand might considerably lower its price - only if you get it with a contract.
