Social media and online video/photo/thought sharing have reached some never-before imagined levels nowadays, and this state of things have determined ZionEyez to develop the “Eyez” video recording glasses.

Although they might look like a fairly normal pair of glasses at a first sight, the truth of the matter is that the “Eyez” are capable of actually broadcasting live video footage to their favorite social networking services (such as Qik and LiveStream) not to mention record video for later uploads to YouTube or Facebook.

And that's because the “Eyez” glasses incorporate a Full HD, 1080p digital camera, that can record videos for later storage onto the built-in 16GB of flash memory. Naturally, photo shooting is also supported.

Moreover, this wearable video recording solution also incorporates a micro USB connector, plus a Bluetooth module, for wireless pairing and data transmission to a smartphone.

In fact, when the Eyez is connected to an Android or iOS smartphone or tablet with mobile Internet access, users will be able to send live video streams to their video sharing service of choice.

In spite of coming equipped with all the hardware components mentioned above, the Eyez still work pretty well as basic “glasses”, users being able to easily opt for either clear or shaded lenses, no to mention the fact that they can even fit them with prescription lenses.

Unfortunately, for the time being, the Eyez video glasses are very close to vaporware status, given the fact that there's still no info even on whether a fully-functional prototype version of the product is available or not, not to mention commercial availability and pricing.

However, we really hope that they'll become real at some point, given the fact that they'll most likely prove to be a very interesting (and elegant) alternative to all of today's wearable video cameras.
