Saudi Arabian officials have spoken to US authorities above Tamerlan Tsarnaev planning a major attack, before the Boston Marathon bombing.

They specifically predicted a massive attack in one of the country's largest cities, the NY Post details.

The information was received by the US Department of Homeland Security in 2012. At that time, Tsarnaev planned a pilgrimage to Mecca but was denied an entry visa.

As I already reported, the Russian Government also expressed concern over the Chechen native's radical views one year prior to that, prompting an FBI investigation. In both cases, there was no reason to suspect terrorist activity.

Tamerlan Tsarnaev's widow is currently making arrangements to have his body released for a burial.

Katherine Russel has asked the Massachusetts Medical Examiner’s Office for the remains to be forwarded to the family.
