Earlier this year, a rep for Sarah Jessica Parker confirmed that the actress and husband Matthew Broderick were expecting twin girls from a surrogate mother. The couple, as fans would know, kept the entire affair out of the media for as much as they could, looking out for the best interest of the children. Last night on David Letterman, Parker brought the first picture of the two girls, as InStyle can confirm.

Tabitha and Marion are now six months old and their mother simply glowed with pride as she spoke about them on the popular show. The picture (also included in this article) showed the twins when they were just a few weeks old, dressed in overalls of different shades, perhaps to be able to best tell them apart. Not that this would have been really necessary since, as Parker put it, they are not even close to “identical.”

“They will be six months at the end of this month and they are physically, intellectually, spiritually, geographically, politically, ideologically and religiously as different as two small six-month olds could be,” she said. “[James Wilkie, 7, her son] is been very hospitable and he’s amused by them occasionally. He’s annoyed by them sometimes but in fact I thought he’d forgotten about them – his world is pretty much his world which is most important,” the actress said about her son’s reaction to the new arrivals in the family.

“SJP appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman to talk about motherhood and promote her new film. She wore a gorgeous two-tone strapless dress with long tousled hair, a wrist full of glitzy bracelets and two gorgeous cocktail rings. SJP told the audience the twins have completely different personalities and are ‘about as unidentical as twins can be’,” InStyle writes of Parker’s interview with Letterman.

Also on the same occasion, the actress touched upon topics like what it’s like to be now dividing her time between the movie set and her busy family life. So far, she’s doing just wonderfully on both counts but that must also be because she has the full support and help of such an amazing family.
