MSI isn't the only one that released its own custom-cooled version of the Radeon HD 5770. Sporting a cooler with similar shape but different imprint, Sapphire's Radeon HD 5770 only has as new feature the different cooling mechanism. Still, this development warrants a reminder of the general features of this ATI Eyefinity-supporting adapter.

The Radeon HD 5770 not only supports DirectX 11 graphics but also supports Shader Model 5.0 and has, as performance features, sShader Model 5.0 Support, DirectCompute 11, Programmable hardware tessellation unit, accelerated multi-threading, HDR texture compression and order-independent transparency. The card is built using the 40nm process, features 800 Stream processing Units, uses advanced GDDR5 memory and a second generation TeraScale Engine. These technologies enable the card to achieve a processing power of 1.46 TeraFlops. The Core clock of the product is set at 850MHz while the memory Clock of the 128-Bit 1GB GDDR5 is 4800MHz.

The video card features the now-famous ATI EyeFinity technology, which allows for triple display setups, and Ati CrossFireX technology. In addition, the card is capable of advanced Anisotropic Filtering, accelerated video transcoding and the DL-DVI, DP, HDMI and D-Sub connectors give the 5770 a significant display flexibility. In addition, the adapter has the ATI Avivo Technology Enhanced Unified Video Decoder 2 (UVD 2)(E.).

Further properties include Dolby® TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio Support, ATI PowerPlay technology with enhanced GDDR5 support, support for OpenGL 3.2 and for DXVA 1.0 and 2.0. The card is compatible with PCI Express 2.1 x 16 and is cooled by a Dual Slot Cooler with Auto fan Control. The whole product runs on a maximum of 108 Watt, with only 18 Watt used when idle.

The card is selling for £117.
