14 DAY TRIAL // Samsung decided to enter into a partnership with the Dutch-based company Gassan Diamonds, that will enable the Korean company to sell its high-end U900 handset together with a 'Soul' diamond. The premium Samsung U900 Gassan Diamond pack will contain the U900 mobile phone, a Bluetooth headset and a diamond from Gassan.
The promotion is only available in Netherlands and also include a special prize for those who are buying the Samsung-Gassa Diamond pack between April and May. These are to be entered into a competition whereby ten people that already own the pack are to be rewarded with a 5,000 Euro worth diamond each.
Nothing new will be implemented onto the U900 handset in terms of technical specifications, but you will get a sparky 'Soul' diamond and the possibility of winning a more expensive one. If you're rich and consider yourself lucky, you must wait till next month to get one of these.
For those that aren't familiar with the new star from Samsung's handset lineup here's some of its history.
Samsung U900, has been first announced during MWC 2008, and is a slim stylish slider phone that measures 105 x 49.5 x 12.9 mm and offers a Magical Touch navigation pad that adjusts itself according to user's needs to make the whole mobile experience simple and intuitive. The slider comes with a 2.2 inch display (16 million colors and 240 x 320 pixels), a 5 Megapixel camera with flash, auto focus, image stabilizer, Wide Dynamic Range, face detection and video recording.
Owners will get HSDPA connectivity (7.2 Mbps), user-changed Graphic Interface, Media player, speaker amplifier with Bang & Olufsen ICEpower technology, Music library, FM radio, Bluetooth 2.0, USB 2.0, Google mail / search, mobile blogging and so on.
There's no price set for the Diamond pack yet, nor for the standard version of the exquisite slider.
