Saga and Renown are the two newest entries on the market coming from Samsung. Moreover, both bring plenty of messaging and multimedia features to be enjoyed mostly abroad, giving useful information on over 300 destinations, all thanks to Verizon's wireless technology.

The Saga shows from the beginning that it was designed to be a loyal and trusty helper, especially for active persons, keeping them in touch with their work or family all the time. It was created as a Quadband GSM/GPRS phone, with a 2.55'' TFT 65k (320x320) touchscreen display, and QWERTY keyboard that goes great with all the phone's messaging features. It is also equipped with an optical mouse, Wi-Fi access and built-in stereo Bluetooth, complete with handsfree, mono and stereo handset, phone book access and human interface device.

The Saga also features the Opera browser and it is operated through Windows Mobile 6.1, which includes plenty of Windows and Microsoft capabilities, such as Microsoft Office Mobile Suite for Word, Excel and Power Point documents, Microsoft Active Sync and Windows Mobile Device Center for Vista OS.

All these programs make this phone very appealing for those looking for a device to help them with their work, not only at home but also when in different parts of the world. Next, to complete the good impression created so far, the Saga uses the Microsoft Voice Command technology, the Windows Media Player Mobile and Customizable User Interface. After hearing of all these features, the 2.0 Megapixel camera and the microSD card slot, expandable to a maximum of 16GB, will probably not seem that impressive anymore.

The Renown, in comparison to the Saga, is a more appealing mobile as far as the design goes. The flip shape and its considerable smaller dimensions make it a fun device to have around, especially while sightseeing, and it also comes equipped with a 2.0 Megapixel, Nightshot capabilities, camcorder and messaging features for video, text and pictures.

Going into the multimedia features, you will be blown away, for this device supports V Cast Music with Rhapsody and V Cast Video from Verizon Wireless, these two bringing you a database of 5 million songs and videos for you to listen for free, and also to help you buy any song or album you might want. Moreover, songs or any type of videos can be downloaded in no time. It also brings 2 LCD screens, a 240x320 pixel, 262K color TFT, and the 96x96 pixel, 262K color TFT.

Both mobiles will be available in Verizon stores by the first of December, the Saga being priced at $199.99 on a two-year agreement and after a 70$ in-mail rebate, and the Renown going on sale for $179.99, also on a two-year contract and a 50$ in-mail rebate.
