Two new mid-ranged phone models from Samsung

Two new mobile phones will be available from Alltel in the near future. The handsets are meant to respond to the basic needs of mobile phone users, as they can be both considered mid-ranged cellulars.

Unfortunately, there are few specifications about these two phone models, but both are designed with the same thought in mind, that of providing telecommunication solutions at small prices.

Samsung SCH-R200 is a slim entry-level candy bar phone which manages to provide solutions to the basic requirements that its user might have. This phone model is slim and has a functional and unpolished look, making it rather a practical and reliable phone. The reduced performances are emphasized by a small screen, which makes it obvious that nobody will thrill on the high quality display. Actually, nobody mentioned anything about a camera, so there is no reason to get such high hopes.

Unlike Samsung R200, the SGH-R500 model also comes with a 1.3 megapixel camera included. Even if this is capable of an acceptable performance, the display might very well manage to take all its glory, little as it was anyway. This clamshell phone model comes in a red case, along with a slim, feminine design, which makes its target quite clear.

Another interesting aspect on Samsung R500 model is the fact that it also comes with stereo speakers included. Most probably, this, along with the camera, will make this model more expensive than its launch brother. One more thing worthy of mention, Samsung R500 comes with removable faceplates, which will make it easy for its user to change its appearance as to match his mood.

Samsung R200 and R500 are expected to come at Alltel sometime this quarter. The prices of these two handsets have not been specified yet, although they will most probably turn out to be easy to afford by most mobile phone users.
