Samsung has just started counting down until the moment when it will release another Bang & Olufsen mobile phone. This is one of the most eccentric lines of handsets coming from this producer, with another strange-looking device already released to break the ice. The site clearly shows that Serenate II is on its way.

Samsung announces that there are 19 days remaining until a new Bang & Olufsen handset is released. This means that, right at the beginning of October, everybody will have the chance of seeing another result of the collaboration between the Korean and Danish partners.

The first Serene mobile phone is one controversy generating phone. Some people really love its innovative and unusual design, while others find it to be nothing more than weird. In this context, the release of a new phone part of this line of devices is especially interesting. Not that it is expected to be anything extraordinarily impressive, but just to see what Samsung had in mind for the best sequel for its first odd-looking handset.

The greatest disadvantage that the first Serene Bang & Olufsen phone presented was its total lack of usability. Its keypad is displayed in a circle shape, which made it next to impossible to type text messages or any longer text input. The phone also adds a control wheel similar to that of the iPod for navigating through its menu.

The handset packs low performances, other than its appealing design. It has only a VGA camera, small display and weak battery. All these come at a high price, especially because of the fact that this is a statement phone above anything else.

The same might go for its sequel too, the Serene II Bang & Olufsen phone, but exactly what will make it eccentric is left to see once it is released. Only 19 days left to wait.
