Samsung Galaxy W will soon be joining Bell's lineup of Android devices. The mid-budget smartphone is scheduled to go live in Q4, though no exact release date has been disclosed yet.

According to the folks over at MobileSyrup, the Galaxy W will be offered by Bell with Android 2.3 Gingerbread on board.

There is no information on the phone's price options, but the smartphone should go live for around $350 (255 EUR) outright or $50 (36 EUR) with a new three-year agreement.

Spec-wise, the Galaxy W is a slightly improved version of the original Samsung Galaxy S smartphone.

In this regard, the former will be delivered with a 1.4 GHz Qualcomm MSM8255T Snapdragon processor and an Adreno 205 graphics processing unit.

However, the phone comes with a “smaller” 3.7-inch capacitive touchscreen with 16 million colors support and 480 x 800 pixels resolution.

It is also worth mentioning that the Galaxy W comes with HSDPA and HSPA support, which provides users with blazing fast 14.4Mbps download and 5.76Mbps upload speeds.

In addition, the Galaxy W sports a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash and HD video recording capabilities (720p), as well as secondary VGA front facing camera for video calls.

On the inside, the handset packs 512 MB of RAM, 2 GB of ROM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

Although it's a mid-entry Android smartphone, the Galaxy W is a good addition to any Android fan who wishes to upgrade their current phone.

Obviously, there are better choices offered by Bell in the same price range or slightly higher, including the HTC Sensation, Samsung Galaxy S II 4G and HTC Raider 4G LTE.

There's no telling when the Galaxy W hits shelves at Bell Canada, but it should be available just in time for the holidays.
