Samsung Canada confirmed about a week ago that it would bring the Galaxy S II in the country sometime this summer. Almost all carriers officially announced they had picked the third-generation Galaxy smartphone and would offer it as early as June.

However, no Canadian retailer opened pre-orders for Galaxy S III until recently. Expansys is among the first to offer customers the possibility to purchase the SIM-free Samsung Galaxy S III.

For the time being, the smartphone is priced at 735 CAD (580 EUR), which is quite a good deal in comparison with European offers, but it might change closer to launch.

Expansys also informs customers who wish to pre-order the Samsung Galaxy S III that the company “will not ship the product or charge your credit card without confirming you still wish to proceed when stock arrives. There are no cancellation charges.”

The retailer does not offer a release date for the handset, but there’s a high chance Expansys will get the Galaxy S III before it goes live at carriers.

It is also worth mentioning that Expansys plans to offer the 64GB model as well, but the retailer does not have a price for this Galaxy S III version, which will be available exclusively from various carriers across the globe.

There are no details on the phone’s hardware configuration, so we’re not sure whether or not the handset will come with LTE support.

Still, the Galaxy S III will be shipped with Google’s latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, as well as new features and apps that will improve users’ overall experience.

S-Voice, Social tag, Direct Call, Smart stay, S-Beam, AllShare Play, Buddy photo share and Smart alert are just several unique features offered by Samsung Galaxy S III. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
