Two of the latest smartphones that Samsung unveiled to the world with Google's Android operating system on board, namely the Samsung Galaxy S II and Galaxy Pro, are expected to become available for purchase on the Romanian market as soon as April.

The company made an official announcement on the matter via its Facebook account, though specific info on the deal were not unveiled at the moment.

However, the availability of these two smartphones on the local market in Romania would easily suggest that other European countries would also receive them starting with the next month, if not sooner.

The Samsung Galaxy S II was unveiled during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, in mid-February, and arrives on shelves as the successor of the popular Galaxy S smartphone, which was launched last year.

The handset sports a large Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen display that boasts a 480 x 800 pixels resolution, as well as a dual-core application processor inside, an 8MP photo snapper on the back, and 16GB or 32GB of internal memory, complemented by a microSD memory card slot for additional storage space.

It also comes with a MHL port (for USB and HDMI connectivity), WiFi, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headset jack, HSPA+ 21Mbps connectivity, as well as GPS receiver.

As for the Samsung Galaxy Pro, it was announced a few days ago with a touchscreen display and a QWERTY keyboard in a candybar form factor.

“Featuring one-touch access to all of your emails, IMs and social sites through a touch-screen and full QWERTY keyboard, Samsung GALAXY Pro gives you the power to stay on top of your work and social lives,” Samsung notes.

The mobile phone sports a 2.8-inch touchscreen display, an 800MHz application processor inside, 512MB of internal memory, microSD memory card slot, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity options, a 1350 mAh battery, GPS receiver, and the whole range of usual sensors.
