Leaked several weeks ago, Samsung Celox seems to be the LTE version of the highly-acclaimed Samsung Galaxy S II Android flagship smartphone.

However, some of Celox's hardware configuration, as well as the design are different in comparison with the original Galaxy S II device.

According to Korean website MT, the phone's name is assured, which means that it is certain the LTE variant of the Galaxy S II will be available on the market as Celox.

Celox means “fast” in Latin, which makes the information even more plausible, but also weird if we think that Latin is a 'dead' language.

It appears that the phone has already been filed for certification under the codename SHV-E110S and is expected to hit shelves sometime next month.

The documents filed mention that the Samsung Celox will be delivered with a 4.5-inch WVGA Super AMOLED Plus capacitive touchscreen display with 16 million colors support and 480 x 800 pixels resolution.

The Celox will be equipped with a 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm APQ8060 processor and an 8-megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording capabilities and a 1750 mAh battery .

Software-wise, the Celox will be powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system with Samsung's proprietary TouchWiz 4.0.

Near Field Communication (NFC) capabilities have also been confirmed along with terrestrial DMB and LTE support (up to 100Mbps down / 50Mbps up).

The rest of the specs seem to be the same as the original Galaxy S II, including Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP connectivity, 16GB of internal memory, and microSD card for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

On related news, it looks like Samsung has big plans for Q4 2011, as the company intends to release one or more LTE smartphones with 4.7-inch display and dual-core processors clocked at 2GHz.
