Samsung's improved Galaxy S II model, with 4G LTE in tow

Apparently, the recently launched Samsung Galaxy smartphones and tablets are not rushing to the market, at least this is what many of the latest reports around the Internet suggest.

Only yesterday, we learned that the Samsung Galaxy Note was expected in the UK only in the first quarter of the next year, though Nordic countries might receive it sooner, and now we learn that the Samsung Galaxy S II LTE might be launched in Europe only next year as well.

The mobile phone made an appearance on the floor at IFA 2011 in Berlin, where officials said that it will be released on the airwaves of some wireless carriers only next year.

For example, T-Mobile Germany reportedly confirmed that it will not release the new mobile phone until the second quarter of the next year.

The carrier's LTE network cannot handle voice calls at the moment, and the company plans on adding this feature into the mix before launching the Galaxy S II LTE.

Chances are that other wireless carriers in Europe might add the device to their offering only next year, and that the new LTE-capable smartphone will not arrive on shelves in Europe in 2011.

However, nothing has been confirmed on this until now, and things might actually turn out differently, though we'll have to wait for an official announcement on this.

In the meantime, we should note that the new Galaxy S II LTE smartphone is expected to arrive on the market on other continents sooner than 2012.

For example, Canadian mobile phone carrier Rogers has already made the new mobile phone available for pre-order on its network, and is expected to soon put it up for sale.

In addition to tasting LTE capabilities, the new mobile phone flavor also received upgraded hardware, including a larger screen and a faster application processor.

The Samsung Galaxy S II LTE comes with a 4.5-inch screen, a 1.5GHz dual-core CPU, an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, 16GB of internal memory, WiFi, GPS receiver, microSD card slot, and the like.

T-Mobile also confirmed that it plans on bringing the new Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE to Germany sometime in December, as the tablet PC does not need handling of voice calls on the carrier's 4G network.
