One of the popular Galaxy family smartphones, the Galaxy Ace is about to make its debut at Koodo Mobile, and most likely at TELUS as well.

According to the guys over at MobileSyrup, the Galaxy Ace will be available at Koodo Mobile for only $200 (about 148 EUR) outright, or $50 (roughly 37 EUR) with the Tab.

Even though Samsung Galaxy Ace is not among the newest Android smartphones introduced by the Korean handset maker, it is certainly one of the most popular mid-budget Android devices.

The phone comes with a 3.5-inch capacitive multi-touch display with 16 million colors display and 320 x 480 pixels resolution, which is protected by Gorilla Glass.

The only thing that makes the phone less appealing is Android 2.2 Froyo platform, but a bump to Gingerbread is already available in some regions, though no release date for Canada has been disclosed yet.

The Galaxy Ace could be the fifth Android smartphone launched by Koodo Mobile, after INQ Cloud Touch, Nexus S, LG Optimus Chat and Optimus One.

The candybar is equipped with an 800 MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 processor and an Adreno 200 graphics processing unit, which is meant to improve user's gaming experience.

Users can expand the 158MB internal memory up to 32GB via the microSD card slot. It is also worth mentioning that the Galaxy Ace is delivered with a free 2GB microSD memory card in the sales package.

A 5-megapixel camera is also included on the back of the phone, which features autofocus, LED flash and video recording capabilities.

In addition to TouchWiz 3.0 user interface, Galaxy Ace comes pre-loaded with Google's range of apps, including Google Search, Maps, Gmail, YouTube, Calendar and Google Talk.

The smartphone is HSDPA-enabled and supports Wi-Fi Hotspot capability, along with Bluetooth and built-in GPS.

Unfortunately, there's no word on the phone's exact release date yet.
