Some mobile phones and service providers are so good that they deserve certification for that. This year's Mobile Choice Awards revealed some pretty expected winners in some categories, but also came with some surprises. And the phone of the year is not iPhone, but Samsung G600.

Nokia has been designated the handset manufacturer of the year. No surprise in that, as this company has been the leader of the industry with the highest sales numbers for a long time now. Despite the troubles encountered by Vodafone this year, due to some internal fights and almost being taken over by Verizon, this operator still made it as the top telecom network.

Sony Ericsson struck big time with its W880i Walkman handset in the Best Music Phone category and with the K810i Cybershot, for Best Camera Phone. Moreover, it looks like people dream of owning a Nokia N95 and not an iPhone or any other strong competitors that Apple's phone has on the market.

A questionable result is that regarding LG Prada as the Best Fashion Phone. Its design was, indeed, catchy, as many other devices (including the Samsung Armani phone) have adopted it. But on the other hand it has worn out after such intense copying and lost its charm.

The awards were announced at the annual mobile event at Old Billingsgate Market, London, after a panel of industry experts took the decisions. Here is a detailed list of this year's Mobile Choice Awards:
