Samsung has announced the E950 slider as an upgraded version of an older cellular model. Still, the phone comes with several improvements which are meant to make it more efficient.

To start with, Samsung E950 highly resembles the E900, but also includes several performances which distinguishes it from the older model. At a first glance, the obvious upgrade that this model has received seems to be the keypad. We are not talking about a scrolling button or even regular keys, but a touch-sensitive pad. The touch feature has proved to be highly popular with many high-end handset models, so what better improvement could have been made for this model too?

When paying more attention to the touch-sensitive keypad, we can see that it also includes shortcuts to music and Yahoo!. Without a doubt, this will be considered as a welcomed element for all the fans of the services provided by this search engine.

Another improvement for this handset is that it has an impressive 15.5mm thickness, which makes it one of the slimmest sliders out there. Moreover, it comes with a display capable of supporting up to 262 mil colors on a 320 x 240 resolution.

Probably the most appealing aspect about Samsung E950 is the fact that it also comes equipped with a 3 megapixel camera. Because of this, it will fail to earn a place among the most evolved camera phones, but it will surely manage to provide pictures at a quality above average.

Other specifications include an 80MB of internal memory. If that is not enough, there is also a microSD card slot available for providing the needed extra amount of data storage space.

No specifications have been made on the exact release date for the Samsung E950 model. Still, its price will be set somewhere around USD 450 without tax and subsidy.
