Officials inform that an off-duty undercover police officer has taken part in the attack on a Range Rover driver by a biker group in New York City.

Police have already made three arrests in the biker attack on the car. Alexian Lien was severely beaten in front of his wife and toddler, and the bikers planned to hit the SUV driver's wife as well.

The New York Post quotes a source in the police department that explains that the undercover cop has not stood up to defend Lien.

“It is does [sic] not appear that he got involved at the scene,” the insider says.

The cop didn't want to expose himself, and only came forward on Wednesday. He turned in his gun and badge and he was placed on modified duty.

He infiltrated himself in the Front Line Soldiers club, based in New Rochelle. Apparently, two other officers are registered in the club, but there is no information on whether they are among the members riding on the day of the assault.
