Even though LG Shine Touch is not one of the most popular feature-phones available in Canada, Rogers is trying to make it worthwhile for those who are thinking of buying one of these handsets.

The carrier has just dropped the LG Shine Touch price to $99.99, which is $30 cheaper than the original price, $129.99.

LG Shine Touch was launched in Canada via Rogers back in February and is available on prepaid, which means customers won't need to sign for a long-term agreement.

Although this is not something new, it is worth mentioning that Rogers also throws in a free Bluetooth headset.

The Bluetooth headset is worth $70 and can be obtained only by purchasing the LG Shine Touch online via the carrier's webstore.

Even though it's a feature-phone, the LG Shine Touch, as the name suggests, comes with a 3.0-inch WQVGA touchscreen with 240 x 400 pixels resolution.

In addition, the handset sports a mediocre 3.0-megapixel camera with video recording capabilities, HSDPA (3.6Mbps) Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, FM radio, 40 MB of internal memory, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 16GB).

LG Shine Touch's battery should provide up to 4 hours of talk time or up to 9 days of standby time, as well as up to 8 hours of music playback.

Unfortunately, the phone is plagued by several issues, such as the low-responsive touchscreen, especially when the keyboard is used to dial a number or text a message.

Also, it appears that the phone sometimes freezes when it tries to discover a Wi-Fi connection, and the only remedy seems to be the removal of the battery.

The Shine Touch has troubles with the internal memory too, as the phone often displays the 'maximum applications reached' message, even when there are few applications open in the background.
