Music games are one of the most popular types of video games currently found on the market, largely due to the fact that they provide a unique experience and that they can bring together large groups of friends who can have fun by playing them.

But these games make not only players but also the companies that created them happy, as they are a never-ending source of profit thanks to the downloadable content that is launched every week. As always, Harmonix, the studio behind the very successful Rock Band franchise, has now announced what tracks will appear this week on the Xbox Live Marketplace, PlayStation Store and Wii Rock Band 2 Music Store.

This is a very special week as would-be rockers will get the complete Nothing's Shocking album from famous alternative rock group Jane's Addiction. Originally released in 1988, the album went on to become an iconic release, and these songs will certainly generate a big amount of profit for Harmonix.

Here is the complete tracklist, and don't forget that the Mountain Song track is already featured in the Rock Band 2 soundtrack, so it doesn't appear below.

“Up the Beach” “Ocean Size” “Had a Dad” “Ted, Just Admit It…” “Standing in the Shower… Thinking” “Summertime Rolls” “Idiots Rule” “Jane Says” “Thank You Boys” “Pig’s in Zen”

All tracks are original master recordings and will be available for purchase as a whole album for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and as individual tracks for the Wii. Prices range from 1.99 dollars or 160 MS Points for individual tracks on the Xbox 360 and PS3 to 2 dollars or 200 Wii Points that Wii owners will have to spend for each of the tracks. The whole album on the other hand will retail for 15.99 dollars or 1280 MS Points.
