Handsome “Twilight” star Robert Pattinson has often said that he doesn’t know how to deal with fame, and especially with the strange way in which female fans react at his sight. As he’s shooting for “Remember Me” in New York City, Robert has been mobbed by female fans on at least two separate occasions and this has made him realize he’s had enough with the girls here, GateCrasher informs.

According to sources close to the British star speaking with the publication, even for a man who is not used to this much attention, Robert too knows the way fans react when they see him is a bit too much. For instance, says the insider, this is not how women in the UK behave when they see him and, clearly, because of this, the actor is dying to wrap production here and go back home. The stress of always being mobbed and not knowing what to do with himself when that happens has also taken a toll on the actor, the same spy claims.

“Robert is dying to get back home. He’s so over everything. He’s overwhelmed by all the girls – they terrify him! He says girls grab his neck and clothing all of the time, and he’s not used to that. Fans don’t do that to him in London. Everyone there is a little cooler about the fame thing, which is what he’s used to.” a reportedly reliable source tells GateCrasher under the cover of anonymity. “He’s so skinny and stressed. Everyone on set is worried about him.” the insider adds, explaining what this is doing to Pattinson.

As we were also telling you a while back, Pattinson is clearly not prepared for this kind of attention he gets from female fans, as he said on several occasions as well. The first time fans broke on the NYC set of “Remember Me,” the actor seemed lost amidst the screaming women and the huge bodyguards fending them off, constantly running his hand through his hair and smiling awkwardly.

And it is precisely this type of “welcome” that does Robert the most harm, the same spy claims. “He’s embarrassed by the way girls throw themselves at him. The girls here are stalking him. He stayed in two different hotels over the course of four days just to try to escape the fans who were following him. He’s afraid that if he gives a hand, they’ll take the whole arm. He’s being advised by security not to encourage the crowd, so he doesn’t even look up anymore.” GateGrasher quotes the insider as saying.
