To promote his latest movie, “Water for Elephants,” also starring Reese Witherspoon and Cristoph Waltz, Robert Pattinson sat down with Elle UK for a lengthy interview. Among the topics up for discussion: his personal life, his love life, “Twilight” and his favorite music.

Throughout the interview (via RobPattinson.blogspot.com), Pattinson comes across as very shy and somewhat overwhelmed by the success of “The Twilight Saga,” a success he believes (or chooses to believe) has little to do with himself and more with people’s need to have an “excuse to go crazy.”

He also reveals he doesn’t own a house, that he still sends the scripts he receives to his parents for approval and feedback, and that he’s recently adopted a dog called Bear, who was just days away from being put down in a Louisiana shelter.

He speaks of “we” when he recalls the adoption, but reveals he will be raising Bear as a “single parent,” which could mean he’s still shy of speaking about his romance with Kristen with the media.

Pattinson does say, though, that he won’t be getting married anytime soon, contrary to ongoing rumors.

“I was told I was meant to be getting married somewhere called ‘Napa Valley.’ It sounded quite cool. Maybe I will get married there,” he jokes.

All jokes aside, Robert is very serious when it comes to allegations that his romance with Kristen might be just a PR stunt set up by Summit Entertainment to drum up interest in the “Twilight” movies, not that any of them needed the extra publicity.

In fact, he’s quite upset at the suggestion that he’d ever let a movie studio dictate his personal life. He believes people have come to think this because he doesn’t like to take pictures.

“Oh no. I’d love it if they tried. If the studio tried to get involved with my personal life, I could start messing around with them in return… No. There’s nothing nefarious going on, I just don’t like people taking my picture,” he says.

“It’s not nice when your life becomes someone else’s news. Even when you’re having a good time and someone takes a picture and says, ‘Look at them having a good time!’ I feel like, it’s not your good time,” Pattinson adds.

Because he doesn’t like to have his picture taken, people have come up with this “explanation” that many aspects of his personal life are made up, included his romance with Stewart.

“People think we have people organizing everything, that it’s all a publicity stunt. It’s not. There is no magical entourage – you’re just a person on your own. You have to figure it out,” he says.
