Markit, a global financial information services company, in partnership with Deutsche Bank, today announced the launch of the Markit Hub Financial Research app for iPad. Deutsche Bank is the first bank to make its research available on the Apple tablet.

“Introducing the Markit Hub financial research iPad app, featuring award winning research and analysis from Deutsche Bank and Markit,” the two companies said in a statement posted to the latter’s web site.

“Explore the Markit Hub iPad app below or view it in the iTunes store,” the announcement reads.

According to its makers, the Markit Hub iPad app takes the simplicity, power and convenience of Markit Hub to a whole new level, by giving institutional investors portable access to all their entitled research and analytics in one place.

Additionally, users can search content across providers and categories, create alerts, and save and annotate documents, Markit said.

Markit Hub for iPad can connect to your 3G/Wi-Fi network to stream and scan the latest headlines. The app uses predictive search to find precise content across asset class, sector and numerous other criteria, and lets users capture just the documents matching their investment interests.

Using the app, researchers can view providers’ content by asset class across time on the Dashboard visualization, and immediately identify key research documents within a category.

With this much going on, the app also needs a reliable organizing tool - users can group documents and notes into collections of favorites based on criteria of their choosing.

Finally, users can review and annotate individual documents, learn more about leading analysts through their Profiles, as well as find new analysts to push to Alerts via the Analyst Wall.

And this is just the tip of the iceberg, Markit NA, Inc. says. Additional research providers will be available in future updates.
