Just a quick reminder to Gears of War 3 owners, who can look forward to the release of the RAAM’s Shadow DLC for the third person shooter later today, exclusively on the Xbox 360.

Gears of War 3 impressed us with its tight mechanics and the last adventures of the Delta Squad led by Marcus Fenix, but this new DLC takes players back to before the events of the original Gears of War title, detailing the evacuation of Ilima City after Emergence Day.

With RAAM’s Shadow, players can control classic characters from the Zeta squad, led by Michael Barrick, who previously appeared the Gears of War comics, but also interact with characters like Minh Young Kim, Tai Kaliso, or the all-new Alicia Valera.

What’s more, like the name implies, this add-on allows Gears of War 3 owners to play as the infamous General RAAM, the Locust leader that was the final boss in the original Gears 1 title.

Besides this three-hour single-player campaign, the DLC also includes six multiplayer characters and a special Chocolate Weapon Set, not to mention new achievements worth 250 GamerScore.

The RAAM’s Shadow add-on for Gears of War 3 will be released later today on the Xbox Live Marketplace.
